SEGR 5300 - Data Architectures for Analytics

Practical work in data analytics depends on efficient access to data from a variety of sources. This course will examine typical corporate data architectures with data warehouses that include both structured and unstructured data. Common storage techniques and retrieval strategies will be included, along with an overview of security and transaction control issues. Students may not receive credit for both CPSC 5300 and SEGR 5300.
