Assessment, screening, diagnosis, treatment, and referral of drug- or alcohol-impaired clients across the lifespan for the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Students will choose a population of special interest to them, and focus course work on treatment of that client population. Sixty hours of clinical practice are required.
