CPSC 5520 - Distributed Systems5 credit hours Formerly - CPSC 544 Distributed systems help programmers aggregate the resource of many networked computers to construct highly available and scalable services. Abstractions, design and implementation techniques used in the construction of scalable, high performance distributed systems. Topics include (but not limited to) multithreading, network programming, consistency, fault tolerance, security and several case studies of distributed systems. Students may not get credit for both CPSC 5520 and SEGR 5520.
