Robotics Minor

The minor in robotics introduces individuals to apply technical and scientific principles to the development, operational evaluation, and design, of computer controlled electro-mechanical systems and products with embedded electronics, sensors, and actuators; and which includes, but is not limited to, automata, robots and automation systems. Includes instruction in mechanics, electronics /electrical components, computer programming/software development, and control systems. 

Requirements


In order to earn a minor in robotics, students must complete 30 credits with a grade point average of 2.00, including:

Computer Programming


Choose one of the following options (5 to 6 credits):

Robotics Transducers and Construction


Choose one of the following options (5 to 8 credits):

Control Systems


Choose one of the following options based on your primary major of study (5 to 6 credits):  

Engineering and Math:


Robotics Software Development Project and Safety


Complete one of the following courses (5 credits):

Electives


Complete 3000-level or higher-level credits as needed to reach 30 credits total.

NOTES:


*Only one course from CPSC 4310, 4610 and ECEGR 4750 may apply towards a major or minor.
