Graduates of the University Honors Program may earn an International Studies major by completing the College of Arts and Sciences Modern Language requirement and 60 additional major credits, with a grade point average of 2.00:

Students are required to take at least 10 credits in a particular area of interest, including 5 credits of non-Western humanities (NWH) and 5 credits of 3000-4000- level courses 2, 3. Elective courses can be selected from one of three concentrations shown below or a student may choose to design their own. Approved courses are listed below. At least three of the 60 credits in the International Studies program must be from one of the following options: Notes
- Students who place out of second year language (i.e., Modern Language above 1350) must take 30 credits of international studies major electives rather than 15.
- At least five elective credits must be designated Non-Western Humanities (NWH).
- At least ten elective credits must be 3000-4000 level.
- Credits can be from a short-term study abroad course, or a quarter-length (or more) study abroad program.
- INST 4950 - Internship counts as elective in any of the four concentrations.
