Nonprofit and Public Administration Minor

The minor in Nonprofit and Public Administration welcomes students interested in pursuing careers working in the nonprofit sector, local, state or federal government. 

Coursework in the minor encourages you to explore diverse perspectives and apply problem-solving skills to analyze and address real-world social problems.  Courses topics include community development, policy analysis, public and nonprofit management, advocacy, nonprofit organzations, and public finance, among other courses.

The Nonprofit and Public Administration minor is complementary to many majors.  If you are interested in pursuing the Nonprofit and Public Administration minor, we encourage you to meet with your advisor to discuss your interests and career goals and to plan your course of study.

Requirements


In order to earn a minor in nonprofit and public administration, students must complete 30 credits, with a cumulative grade point average of 2.00, including the following:

Policy for University Honors Program Students


University Honors Program Society, Policy and Citizenship track students may satisfy 12 credits of minor electives by completing HONR 2180 HONR 2360,  and HONR 2580 . HONR 2360 satisfies PUBA 4400, HONR 2580 satisfies PUBA 4410, and HONR 2180 satisfies PUBA 3010.
