Requirements
In order to earn the Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Diagnostic Ultrasound, students must complete a minimum of 180 quarter credits with a 2.75 cumulative and 3.00 major/department grade point average, including:
I. Core Curriculum Requirements
Module I: Engaging Academic Inquiry
Module II: Engaging Jesuit Traditions
Module III: Engaging the World
II. Major Requirements
127 credits, including:
Math, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Nursing courses, 43 to 45 credits, including:
NOTE:
* MATH 1021/1022 may be satisfied by a higher-level 5-credit MATH course
Diagnostic Ultrasound Courses
Junior Level
Diagnostic Ultrasound Track Specialization
Choose a DIUS track specialization for 21 credits: Vascular, General or Cardiac Vascular:
Senior Level:
51 credits, including:
NOTES:
1. The number of contact hours for lecture, lab, and practice/clinical courses is consistent with university policy on course scheduling.
2. All courses required for the DIUS degree must be graded C (2.00) or better.
III. Additional Requirements
General electives to total 180 (3 to 5 credits)
Post Baccalaureate Bachelor of Science Degree
In order to earn the post baccalaureate bachelor of science degree with a major in diagnostic ultrasound, students generally complete the 90 quarter credits required for the Post Baccalaureate Diagnostic Ultrasound Certificate (2022-2023) , as well as the following Core requirements, with a 2.75 cumulative and 3.00 major/department GPA:
