Requirements

In order to earn the Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration degree with a major in Accounting, students must complete a minimum of 180 quarter credits with a cumulative and major/program grade point average of 2.25, including the following:

I. Core Curriculum Requirements

Module I: Engaging Academic Inquiry

UCOR 1100 - Academic Writing Seminar
UCOR 1200 - Quantitative Reasoning (satisfied in major)
UCOR 1300 - Creative Expression and Interpretation
UCOR 1400 - Inquiry Seminar in the Humanities
UCOR 1600 - Inquiry Seminar in the Social Sciences
UCOR 1800 - Inquiry Seminar in the Natural Sciences (or BIOL 1610/1611, 2200, CHEM 1500/1501, PHYS 1050/1051, 1210/1211)

Module II: Engaging Jesuit Traditions

Module III: Engaging the World

II. Albers Business Foundation Requirements*

NOTE:

BCOM 2800 must be taken prior to or simultaneously with ACCT 3010 .
Accounting majors must normally complete 55 credits of business courses at Seattle University; 45 of these credits must be at the upper-division level and only 10 credits may be transferred toward the concentration area and no more than 15 toward their business foundation courses.
Internships or independent studies will not satisfy major requirements.
With permission of the chair of the accounting program, students with an undergraduate accounting degree from Seattle University who have taken ACCT 5330 and/or ACCT 5350 and/or ACCT 5355 as part of their bachelor’s degree may also apply these courses towards the Master of Science in Accounting and Analytics program at Seattle University. Students may register for the undergraduate equivalent of these graduate courses.

* Major requirements must earn a C- grade or better.
