IMPORTANT NOTE:

Minor Requirements:

To earn a minor in Japanese, students must complete 35 credits with a minimum 2.00 GPA in one modern language, including:

JPAN 1250 - Japanese Language II
JPAN 1350 - Japanese Language III
JPAN 2150 - Japanese Language IV
JPAN 2250 - Japanese Language V
JPAN 2350 - Japanese Language VI
JPAN 3150 - Japanese Culture and Civilization
JPAN (3000-level or above) or minor related course (5)

NOTE:

If a student’s native language is a language offered at this university, the student may not receive a minor in that language.

Students who waive elementary language courses may meet the 35 credit minor requirement by substituting upper-division courses in the language of the minor or approved courses in other disciplines that relate to their minor language. See policy for minors (84-1 ) for more information.
