Master of Science in Computer Science with a Specialization in Software Engineering

Degree Requirements

Minimum requirements for the degree are 45 graduate credits. A maximum of 12 credits taken in non-matriculated status may be applied to this program. Students may be allowed up to 10 transfer credits as described earlier in this Catalog but at least 36 graduate credits must completed at Seattle University. All degree requirements must be completed within six years after course work has begun.

I. Preparatory Courses

6 preparatory courses required*, including:

CPSC 5011 - Object-Oriented Concepts 3 credit hours
CPSC 5021 - Database Systems 3 credit hours
CPSC 5031 - Algorithms 3 credit hours
CPSC 5041 - Computing Systems Principles I 3 credit hours
CPSC 5042 - Computing Systems Principles II 3 credit hours
CPSC 5051 - Fundamentals of Software Engineering 3 credit hours

NOTE:

*Students may be waived from one or more of these preparatory courses if they have prior equivalent coursework.
