Exploring the Ancient Mystery of faith for a postmodern world
Chaplaincy is a dynamic and growing field. Research shows that healthcare and mental health organizations, hospitals, senior centers, hospice providers, corporations, entertainment venues, airports, police and fire departments, the military, and other organizations have hired qualified people to serve as chaplains to their employees and customers. In addition, many of our denominational partners require that candidates from their traditions be ordained and appointed to chaplaincy positions. The Master of Divinity degree with Chaplaincy Specialization prepares students for the certification requirements of the National Association of Catholic Chaplains and the American Board of Certified Chaplains. It also meets ordination requirements for most Protestant, Episcopal, and other association ecclesial communities.
