IMPORTANT NOTE:

Requirements

In order to earn a minor in sociology, students must complete 30 credits in sociology, social work, and anthropology including:

SOCL 3120 - Sociological Theory

Choose one of the following two courses:

SOCL 3110 - Sociological Reasoning
SOCL 3130 - Sociological Research Methods

Area I: Power and Stratification

Choose one from the following three courses:

SOCL 3310 - Class and Inequality
SOCL 3320 - Race and Ethnicity
SOCL 3330 - Gender and Sexuality

Area II: Self and Society

SOCL 3210 - Society and Behavior

Choose electives from SOCL, SOCW and ANTH courses: (10)

NOTE:

Transfer students must take at least 15 upper-division ANTH, SOCL, or SOCW credits at Seattle University for the minor. See policy for minors (84-1 ) for more information.
