Engaging Culture and the needs of Humanity for lasting contribution
Combining the study of leadership theory and practice, peacebuilding, ethics and spirituality, the Master of Arts in Transformational Leadership program helps students become leaders for positive change. At a time when societies around the globe are struggling to combat corruption and lapses of ethics, the world needs people who lead with the courage of their convictions. Students bring their specific vocational interests to the classroom to explore ways of bringing groups to new social consciousness, global understanding, and personal interconnectedness. Seattle University’s School of Theology and Ministry relies on expertise in the difficult task of integrating meaning-making, formation in spiritual practices leading to depth, and practicing skills toward leading communities to work toward justice. By teaching students to inspire others to make the world a better place, the Master of Arts in Transformation Leadership prepares students to take their place as ethical leaders and social entrepreneurs in non-profit organizations, NGOs, social service agencies, mediation offices, community-based organizations and other settings. Seattle University School of Theology and Ministry designed and built this degree in 2008, with no degree of its kind available in the global community.
