Degree Requirements:

I. Basic College of Education Requirements

Nine credits, including:

EDUC 5000 - Introduction to Educational Research 3 credit hours
EDUC 5200 - Social Justice in Professional Practice 3 credit hours
EDUC 5130 - Adult Learning 3 credit hours

II. Adult Education and Training Requirements

18 credits, including:

AEDT 5100 - Course Design for Adult Learners 3 credit hours
AEDT 5160 - Instructional Design: UDL & Technology 3 credit hours
AEDT 5620 - Foundations of Adult Education 3 credit hours
AEDT 5630 - Instructional Methods for Adult Learners 3 credit hours
AEDT 5770 - Evaluation in Programs for Adult Learners 3 credit hours
AEDT 5990 - Adult Education Graduate Project 3 credit hours

III. Adult Education and Training Electives

Choose a total of 12 credits from the following:

AEDT 5640 - Issues in Basic Skills for Adults 3 credit hours
AEDT 5650 - Philosophy and Methods of Skill Training 3 credit hours
AEDT 5660 - Internship in the Adult Setting 3 credit hours
AEDT 5670 - Internship in the Adult Setting 1 to 3 credit hours

AEDT 5730 - Human Resources: Training, Education, and development 3 credit hours
AEDT 5740 - Continuing Education for the Professional 3 credit hours
AEDT 5760 - Practice of Consulting 3 credit hours
AEDT 5800 - Instructional Leadership in Adult, Post-Secondary, and Higher Education 3 credit hours
AEDT 5810 - Assessment in Adult, Post-Secondary and Higher Education 3 credit hours
