I. Leadership Requirements

36 credits required, including:

EDLR 6000 - Educational Leadership Orientation 6 credit hours
EDLR 6050 - Empowering Leaders for Social Justice 3 credit hours
EDLR 6210 - Leader as Self I 3 credit hours
EDLR 6220 - Leader as Self II 3 credit hours
EDLR 6230 - Leader as Self III 3 credit hours
EDLR 6310 - Leader in Organizations I 2 to 3 credit hours (3)
EDLR 6320 - Leader in Organizations II 2 to 3 credit hours (3)
EDLR 6330 - Leader in Organizations III 3 credit hours

II. Inquiry and Research Requirements

30 credits required, including:

III. Concentration Requirements

24 credits required

If concentration courses approved by sponsoring program are less than 24 credits, then students with advisor approval will choose elective courses to meet the 24 credit total requirement.

Minimum credits required for degree: (90)*

Comprehensive Exam

An exam which focuses on educational leadership studies common to all students and an exam focused on each student’s area of professional concentration is required.
