Requirements
To earn a minor in modern languages (either Chinese, German, Italian, or Japanese students must complete 35 credits with a minimum 2.00 GPA in one modern language, including: - 115 Language I (5)
- 125 Language II (5)
- 135 Language III (5)
- 215 Language IV (5)
- 225 Language V (5)
- 235 Language VI (5)
- 315 Chinese, German, Japanese, or Italian Culture and Society (5)
NOTE:
If a student’s native language is a language offered at this university, the student may not receive a minor in that language. Students who waive elementary language courses may meet the 35 credit minor requirement by substituting upper-division courses in the language of the minor or approved courses in other disciplines that relate to their minor language.
