Requirements
In order to earn the bachelor of science with a major in cell and molecular biology degree, students must complete a minimum of 180 quarter credits with a cumulative and major/program grade point average of 2.00, including the following: I. Core Curriculum Requirements
Module I: Engaging Academic Inquiry
Module II: Exploring the Self and Others
Module III: Engaging the World
II. Major Requirements
58 credits in biology, including: Choose one of the following three courses:

- 3 to 5 credit science elective approved by department
Candidacy
Candidacy is required for enrollment into the first core courses of the Cell and Molecular Biology curriculum: BIOL 285 /286 . Candidacy is achieved by successfully completing the following: BIOL 161 /171 , 162 /172 , 163 /173 , and CHEM 123 / 133 , all with C- or better; BIOL 240 with a C+ or better; and a minimum biology major grade point average of 2.8. |
