ARTL 5750 - Creativity in Research Methodologies

3 credit hours
This course prepares students to think creatively about how to conduct research using a variety of research methodologies. Topics include a survey of both traditional and emerging arts-based research methods, the uses of theory, distinctions between quantitative and qualitative research, research ethics and the protection of human subjects, data collection and data analysis. Students will learn how to creatively approach their research, select the best methods for their research focus, and develop a research plan for their Summary Project paper requirement and the related project base component.
