NURS 6204 - Management of Gynecologic and Reproductive Health: Theory3 credit hours Formerly - NURS 5054 Health promotion and disease prevention for women from adolescence through post-menopause. Developmental, preconceptional, interconceptional, and postpartum assessment, and management of common episodic and chronic gynecological conditions of women in primary care settings, including culturally diverse, vulnerable and global populations. Health promotion and screening for male reproductive health is also included. Pregnancy care and the common complications are included. Theory and research from nursing and other disciplines are applied and integrate into a case-based approach. Registration restrictions and requisites may be bypassed by the department with permission of instructor.
