MCFT 5760 - Systemic Child and Adolescent Treatment3 credit hours Utilizing research, family systems theories, and developmental considerations, students will study the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents in individual and family contexts. Students will practice techniques (e.g., play therapy, filial therapy, narrative interventions) used in the ethical care and treatment of children, adolescents, and their families. Specific emotional and behavioral disorders will be examined, especially as they relate to family functioning.
