FILM 3103 - Cinematography5 credit hours This course introduces specific camera and lighting techniques used in filmmaking which students then apply to their own creative work. Focus will be placed on learning and applying cinematographic techniques to create a specific visual effect and/or mood. Discussions and hands-on activities will cover the general concepts and principles of camera movement, lens options and lighting techniques Ultimately, students will explore how to use lighting and camera equipment to produce intentional emotions and recognizable aesthetic effects through the camera.
