NURS 6502 - Neurobiology of Psychiatric Disorders and Addictions3 credit hours Integrates knowledge and research evidence from genetics, epigenetics, neurodevelopment, neurobiology and pharmacology in the study of psychiatric disorders and addictions across the lifespan. Students apply a neurobiological framework to the analysis of behaviors and symptoms and the discernment of neurobiological targets for health promotion, prevention, and treatment in advanced practice psychiatric mental health nursing. Registration restrictions may be bypassed by the department with permission of instructor.
