NURS 6405 - Acute Care Practicum II- Management of Acute Conditions During Altered States of Health5 credit hours Formerly - NURS 5405 Focuses on management of common acute and chronic health problems during an acute care encounter for adult and older adult clients. Diagnostic reasoning is used to differentiate the basis of chronic and acute problems. Evidenced-based approaches to acute care management drawing upon theories, research, clinical knowledge, and practice standards are used to develop therapeutic plans. Registration restrictions may be bypassed by the department with permission of instructor.
