STMC 5540 - Group Theory and Techniques

3 credit hours
This course will examine basic principles of clinical groups, including: theory, client selection, formation study of the here-and-now, and other skills necessary for group leadership. The course will also explore common themes that arise in groups. Students will demonstrate group leadership skills in role-plays and will participate in an experiential mock group that highlights the theory and practice of group counseling.
