PSYC 5370 - Family and Couples Therapy3 credit hours This course will provide students a phenomenologically-grounded introduction to conducting counseling and therapy with couples and families. Students will learn to work with diverse family structures and processes, including systemic problems in patterns of communication and interaction. The course will explore the social and cultural diversity of family experiences as they related to therapeutic practice, and address ethical issues of particular importance to family and couples work.
