PHYS 122 - Electricity and Magnetism5 Continuation of calculus-based physics for students of science and engineering. Topics covered include electric charge, forces, field, flux; Gauss’ law; electric potential; conductors, dielectrics, capacitance; current, resistance, and DC circuits; magnetic forces and fields; Ampere’s law; Faraday’s law and inductance; Maxwell’s equations. Course includes laboratory component. Prerequisites: PHYS 121, MATH 135. (fall, spring)
