NURS 306 - Foundations of Professional Nursing5 Examination of nursing history, nursing theory, and professional practice using systems theory as a framework. Introduction to concepts of health, health promotion and protection in the context of health care delivery systems. Development of critical thinking, cultural competence, communication, collaboration, and group process skills for professional relationships. Theory (4 credits), lab (1 credit). Prerequisite: all courses prerequisite for nursing program. Majors only.
