Through various theoretical lenses of international relations, this course examines key sources and forces that shape and change the complex dynamics of conflict and cooperation in contemporary East Asia.  This process elucidates the strategic importance of East Asia in world politics and the implications for the U.S. foreign and security policy in the region.
