CPSC 481 - The Art of Web Design5 An introduction to website design with emphasis on the area of human computer interaction (HCI). Topics include defining the audience, planning the site, prototyping and testing the design. HCI topics include an introduction to cognitive psychology, user-centered design methodology and memory characteristics as pertains to interface design. Technical aspects of creating a site include basic text markup, scripting languages and other web tools. Core interdisciplinary option. Cannot be used as a CPSC 400-level elective. Prerequisite: PHIL 110
