ART 480 - Documentary Photography for Social Change5 An examination of the impact of photography as a vehicle for social, economic and/or political change. Students will study the language of photography and the history of social documentary photography, while spending time “embedded” within a community service based agency in Seattle. Students will document the daily struggles, successes and challenges of these organizations, learning to bridge the gap between social issues and photographic possibilities.
