ART 338 - Calligraphy, Italic Hands5 An introduction to the art and craft of Italian Renaissance hand made letters known as italic writing. Students will learn the formal italic style, the swash italic style and the informal cursive style. This course will be useful for students interested in the applied arts of graphic design, visual communication, and typography as well as Renaissance History. No prerequisites, although ART 100 or equivalent advised.
