ANTH 301 - Principles of Cultural Anthropology5 This course is intended for majors and minors. Introduction to the five subfields of cultural anthropology: cultural ecology, social anthropology, economic anthropology, political anthropology, and the anthropology of religion. Includes a comparative examination of ancient and contemporary cultures; the means of methods of evaluations of the effects of modernization on traditional cultures; ethnicity, gender and the role of diversity in a global context; and consideration of the implications and ethics of anthropological research for the cultures that are studied.
