PHYS 3300 - Electromagnetic Field Theory5 credit hours The theory of electromagnetism using vector calculus for students of physics and electrical engineering. Topics covered include static electric and magnetic fields in vacuum and linear isotropic media; time-varying fields and Maxwell’s equations; the wave equation and boundary conditions; propagation of electromagnetic waves in non-conducting media.
