MATH 1230 - Calculus for Life Sciences

Formerly - MATH 131
Limits; rate of change; derivatives, basic differentiation formulas, extrema; the definite integral. Applications to the life and social sciences. Graphing calculator required. Core mathematics option.

Prerequisite Course(s): a grade of C- or better in either MATH 1010 (formerly MATH 118/1120) or MATH 1021 (formerly MATH 120/1321) or satisfactory score on SAT or ACT or the Mathematics Placement Exam
Co-requisite Course(s): MATH 1022 (formerly MATH 121/1322), unless exempted by qualifying examination
