HUMT 1310 - Effective Communication Skills5 credit hours Formerly - HUMT 131 This course guides students through an exploration of the principles and practical skills that make up the art of interviewing. Students probe “contextualizing” and the interdisciplinary theories that drive the process of interviewing. Students apply those principles and theories as they study the practice of questioning, the structure of interviews, the use of culturally sensitive language, observation, and listening.
