CRJS 4220 - Issues in Contemporary Law Enforcement5 credit hours Formerly - CRJS 422 Seminar on current issues in contemporary law enforcement. Topics addressed in the course include: The politics of law enforcement, police brutality, the impact of administrative interventions on police discretion, and police strategies such as problem-oriented policing, “hot spot” patrols, paramilitary units, and the criminal investigative process.
