ARTH 3410 - History of Modernism5 credit hours Formerly - ART 316 Focuses on visual strategies of modern European artists that respond to rapid social, political, technological and cultural change from the mid-nineteenth century into the 1930s. The course explores the transformative effect on art production and reception of such themes as: revolution, technology, politics, nationalism, markets, patronage and gender.
