STMC 5500 - Family Therapy Theory

3 credit hours
This course introduces students to family systems theories of change. The practical applications of each theory, as they relate to change in individual, couple, family, and larger systems (e.g., places of worship), will be discussed. Special attention will be paid to incorporating spirituality and religion into practice with each theoretical approach. Additionally, implications for multicultural competence and evidence-based practice will be addressed.
