STMM 5610 - Contemporary Christian Spirituality and Prayer3 credit hours Formerly - STMM 561 This course introduces the student to the most important themes in contemporary Christian spirituality and to a variety of approaches to prayer. Applying these themes (ecological awareness, embodiment, contemplation and action dialectic, etc.), students reflect upon and articulate their personal spirituality and evaluate theological and pastoral implications of different approaches to spirituality and prayer. Class sessions will include lecture, prayer experiences, refl ective times, and discussion.
