STMC 5590 - Clinical V3 credit hours Formerly - STMC 559 The clinical sequence provides basic experience and training in couples and family therapy. Students will be at a clinical site 14-18 hours per week as they advance through six quarters of training. In addition to face-to-face client contact and other onsite clinical work, students will meet at least one hour a week in individual supervision. Class time will be composed of three hours of weekly faculty led group supervision. Clinical V focuses on the integration of knowledge, awareness, and skills related to providing competent, ethical, multicultural care. In the context of group supervision, students will discuss the treatment and dynamics of families and individuals who come from diverse races and ethnicities, genders and sexual identities, and religions and spiritual traditions.
