Provides an introduction to the process of clinical assessment and diagnosis that focuses upon the development of skills necessary for the practitioner to make accurate assessments and diagnoses in his/her clinical work in mental health agencies, schools and chemical dependency treatment centers. This course also examines the interaction of substance abuse and dependence with co-occurring psychological disorders. Registration restrictions may be bypassed by the department with permission of instructor.
