DICE 4000 - Everyday Coding5 credit hours In this course, students learn basic programming skills and analyze programs as cultural artifacts. Topics include variables, common data structures, loops, conditionals, logical flow, and encapsulation. Students reflect upon software they use on a daily basis and how these applications construct and inform identity and ideology. Students complete useful programming exercises, cultural analyses of software and publicly available code libraries, and reflections on personal experiences with everyday digital technology.
