PSYC 2320 - Social Psychology Through Film5 credit hours A broad overview of the field of social psychology and an introduction to the principles of film. Through the intersection of these topics, students will gain an understanding of how environments and film shape how people think, feel, and behave. Covered are the overarching theories of social psychology and the research data that support them. Also covered are the basic techniques used by directors to shape how we perceive and respond to film. Film clips and full-length features demonstrate theories and concepts. Students may take PSYC 2220 or PSYC 2320, not both.
