THRS 2003 - Women and the New Testament5 credit hours Formerly - THRS 306 Investigation of stories, images, and texts within the New Testament that touch directly on women’s lives. Use of feminist hermeneutics, in conversation with modern historical and literary methods, to explore the meaning and value of these stories and images in terms of their ancient cultural context, traditional interpretations, and modern application. Special focus on the portrayal of Jesus in relationship to women within the gospel tradition. ST
