PSYC 4950 - Practicum

1 to 5 credit hours

Provides field-based psychological research and/or practical experience. Students must contact Practicum Director at the beginning of the quarter prior to proposed practicum quarter for a possible placement. There is no guarantee of acceptance. Students typically spend 3 hours at their practicum site per week for each registered credit hour. In addition to the duties at their practicum site, students complete self-evaluations and journals. Those taking the course for a letter grade also complete reflection and research papers. See practicum website for more information. A maximum of 10 Independent Study and/or Practicum (formerly Internship) credits may be applied toward the major.
