PSYC 1200 - Introductory Psychology

Formerly - PSYC 120
General introduction to the field of psychology and the modes of natural and human scientific inquiry in psychology.   Critical thinking about methods and about psychology in the popular press are emphasized. Topics include the neuron and the brain, sensation and perception, human and animal learning, thinking and memory, language and development, personality and social behavior, and mental illness and treatment.
