SPED 5430 - Positive Behavior Support

3 credit hours
Formerly - SPED 543
This course is an introduction to effective inclusive teaching, behavior management, applied behavioral analysis, functional assessment, and interventions. Topics include school-wide positive behavior support, classroom and individual assessment and support. Students will learn to facilitate efficient development, implementation and evaluation of behavior support plans in ways that consider and support cultural and linguistic differences of K-12 students and their families. Prerequisite: SPED 540 or permission of instructor.

Prerequisite Course: SPED 5400 or Instructor Permission
