ART 3380 - Calligraphy, Italic Hands5 credit hours
Formerly - ART 338
An introduction to the art and craft of Italian Renaissance handmade letters known as italic writing. Students will learn the formal italic style, the swash italic style and the informal cursive style. This course will be useful for students interested in the applied arts of graphic design, visual communication, and typography as well as Renaissance History. No prerequisites, although ART 1000 or equivalent advised.
