MATH 244 - Probability and Statistics for the Sciences and Engineering


Probability models; discrete and continuous random variables, basic concepts of descriptive and statistical inference; applications. The course will include use of computer software. Cannot apply both MATH 244 and MATH 351 toward a mathematics major. Prerequisite: a grade of C- or better in MATH 135 or instructor permission. (winter, spring)5
