ENGL 110 - College Writing: Inquiry and Argument

Develops students’ skills in academic and public discourse. Students write for various audiences and purposes with an emphasis on argument. The course, taught in an active discussion format, focuses on close reading of challenging texts, question-posing, critical thinking, exploratory writing, and the production of formal essays that evolve through multiple drafts.
